Winter Race Training
Registration is essential for this event
Want to keep up your skills over winter? Then these sessions are for you. Run by Will and Ellen, these sessions will focus on making you a fast and decisive sailor.
At each session we will focus on a specific manoeuvre/leg/mark rounding and have short races.
Winter Sailing can be very cold!! Please make sure that all sailors wrap up very warmly with thermals under winter wetsuits, spray tops, hats and gloves.
Club boats are available to hire at the usual cost.
Important Information for Participants before registering
1) All members should ensure they have appropriate equipment for the weather and conditions, to include personal buoyancy. Please also remember that it can get cold on the water, especially at this time of the year.
2) Please only register if you have a minimum of RYA Level 2 or equivalent.
3) Sailing will be restricted to wind limits of 3knts minimum average speed and OOD judgement.
4) A limited number of club boats are available at this stage.
5) A maximum of 20 boats may participate. A waiting list will be in place if you don't initially secure a place.
6) If you are under 18 years old please ensure you have completed an U18 parental consent form.
