To attract members to use the Clubhouse on a Friday evening, Bob Simpson has volunteered to give a talk entitled "Where does the weather come from?" on Friday 7 December 2012.
The topics to be covered will include such matters as: what are the major weather systems of the world? What are the trade winds and why are they found where they are? Why are deserts found in some parts of the world and rainforests in others? Why is our weather so variable? etc.
The talk will be held in the bar and will begin at 7.45pm. The bar will beopen from 7.30pm. With questions and discussion the talk should last about 1 hour in total, so plenty of time for drinking afterwards.
