Learn to sail

One week Learn to Sail course

30^th Aug to 3^rd Sept 2010

1000 – 1700hrs each day

Cost £170 per person (this fee includes club membership)

Participants must be a member of ELYC and this can be applied for on www.elyc.org.uk

Learn to sail courses are aimed at complete beginners.

You should be confident in the water and able to swim 50m

You will be asked to complete an application form and a medical conditions form

Ideally you will have achieved RYA level 1 & 2

You will be able to sail a boat and complete basic manoeuvres

You will be asked to complete an application form and a medical conditions form.

Monday evenings from 1830 – 2100hrs – 8 week programme

19^th, 26^th April, 3^rd, 10^th, 17^th, 24^th, 31^st May and 7^th June

Cost £140 per person for 8 weeks for club members

Cost £170 per person for 8 weeks for non club members (this fee includes club membership) Participants must be a member of ELYC and this can be applied for on www.elyc.org.uk

1 weekend courses

17^th & 18^th April – Level 3 course

12^th & 13^th June – Level 3 course

Cost £60 per person for each weekend

Cost £90 per person per weekend  (this fee includes club membership) Participants must be a member of ELYC and this can be applied for on www.elyc.org.uk

Additional RYA certificated Courses

Spinnaker Handling Weekend – 19^th & 20^th June 2010

This is a course that covers the mystical properties of spinnakers and how to work with them

Seamanship Skills Weekend – 3^rd & 4^th July 2010

This course looks at developing your ability to work with your boat and manage the more complex manoeuvres such as sailing without a rudder as well as reviewing skills such as man overboard recovery

Day Sailing Skills Weekend – 10th & 11^th July 2010

This course is for those who wish to try dinghy cruising, and learn a little about navigation and safety when sailing away from your base.

Cost £60 per person for each weekend for club members
