ELYC sail training aims to introduce as many people as possible to the enjoyment of the sport of sailing, and to help them progress and develop. A variety of RYA certified courses are run throughout the year for both adults and cadets both on the water and onshore.

Thanks to generous funding from a variety of sources the club have a fleet of 12 Toppers. We also have 4 ribs which we use for teaching powerboat skills and as rescue craft for dinghy training and racing. The boats damaged in the recent bad weather are being assessed and we hope to build up the training fleet again soon. 

The club offer many training opportunities including the RYA sailing syllabus, RYA National Powerboat Courses and Safety Boat Courses, First Aid and other shore based courses.

Beyond the formal certified courses there are a number of other coaching and race training courses that we also run throughout the year.
