From: "Marston, H. (Hugh)" To: Subject: [Memberslist] Traditional Boat Muster, this Saturday. Date: 28 August 2008 22:02 Dear All The Second East Lothian Traditional Boat Muster takes place this Saturday. If you have a boat that is old or wooden or has brown sails or a traditional rig or whatever please do have it on the water! Events kick off with a rowing race at 1030. The race will be from the pier end to the outer mark of the club start/ finish line, then the inner mark and back to the pier end. Budding Olympians should look away. Sailing boats should aim to be on the water at 1200, with the Parade of Sail commencing at 1230. Boats will parade in line from the Craig towards Platcock, before running off to leeward. After a short race skippers and boats will return to the harbour wall where the skippers will be delighted to chat endlessly about their boats. At Night the Chowder supper IS NOW SOLD OUT. But don't despair. Get yourself a fish supper and then get back down to the club for shanties at 1930 (ish). There is a fair amount of REAL ALE to be used up, and the bar will stay open after the shanties for that purpose. Your assistance would be very much appreciated. See you Saturday, Robbie
