dinghy/yacht racing

Although it is not marked in the handbook, there will be a fun racing session aimed those adults or kids who have completed their start sailing or improvers courses on Thursday 21st August run by Lindsey Doig and Iain McGonigal.

Please be down at the club by 6.30 pm if you would like to take part.

On Tuesday 26th August we will run the 'Alison 3' race series for novices, for which there is a club trophy!

Each Fun Friday session will begin @ 18:00 in front of the clubhouse. You need to be changed at this briefing so that we can make the best use of daylight.

This year, boats need to be booked by email, before the event. To book a boat you must email the following address by the Thursday night [bookfunfriday@elyc.org.uk]. Please tell us your name and the type of boat you would like to use.

The following boats will be available to use:
12x Toppers
4x Laser/Radial/4.7 (Dependent on experience, and conditions)
5x Laser 2000's (Dependent on experience, and conditions)
1x Dart 16 (you can book a go on the Dart which will be helmed by an experienced member of the training team).

Although help will be available, you will be completely responsible for the getting out and putting away of your boat. With the new booking system we can trace any damaged or abandoned boats back to their users!

Kenneth and I will NOT accept bookings from people who don't use this e-mail.
(In other words, don't come up to us at school and try to book a boat!!)
