SEA SURVIVAL TRAINING 08-Nov-2007

Saturday December 8th at ELYC, plus pool session at North Berwick pool in the afternoon

The Sea Survival course gives you the necessary practical and theoretical knowledge to react effectively to an emergency abandonment with or without a liferaft and includes an invaluable practical session in a swimming pool. No previous experience is necessary or required.

RYA LADIES TRAINING & CHAMPIONSHIP 09,22,23-Sep-2007

The RYA ladies championships is to be held at Loch Venacher this year on Sept 22/23 with a day of training on the 22nd and a day of racing on the 23rd.

To encourage as many ladies as possible to take part in the event the RYA have also offered ELYC a day of training at ELYC. We have managed to secure the coaching expertise of our very own sailing guru - Jim Sinclair - on Sunday 9th September.

The ELYC ladies training day is open to any dinghies that have a lady on board and would like to improve their racing skills - book a place by emailing [training@elyc.org.uk]

ELYC SUMMER SCHOOL 2007 24-Mar-2007
Courses will run in the summer holidays over 5 weeks starting from 02 July, cost is £120 for five days of sail training which includes cadet membership of ELYC.

JANE ROBERTSON RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS AWARD 08-Sep-2006

RYA Community Award 2006

ELYC are proud to announce that Jane Robertson, Training Principal at ELYC has been awarded the "RYA Lifetime Commitment Award" for her commitment to developing training over the past 10 years. Jane has built training at ELYC up from non certified training of sailing dinghies to the current training programme with Adult Sail Training, Children's Summer School, Power boat courses and numerous shore based training courses, full details are available under the training section of this website. She has also built the training team up to include over 30 volunteers plus visiting instructors all RYA qualified.
