Membership

East Lothian Yacht Club is one of the leading clubs in Scotland. We have very active racing, training and social programmes. Whether an experienced sailor, or just beginning there are plenty of opportunities to get involved. Enjoy looking through the website and we look forward to giving you a warm and friendly welcome.

Racing

ELYC is well known for staging many of the leading dinghy class
regattas and national Championships. We also have a busy all
year round racing calendar with both series racing and also one
off trophies to be won.

Training

East Lothian Yacht Club has a very strong training record. On the water we provide certified training courses in both the RYA Dinghy Sylabus and also Powerboat Training. ELYC also offer many coaching sessions for all levels. Check the training pages for our full range of activities.

Social

Off the water ELYC is still a great place to be the club house enjoys a fully licensed bar and a canteen. We also offer numerous organised events from theme nights, like our popular curry night and greek night through to Video nights and Christmas Carol Evening. In November we have our annual Dinner Dance and awards evening. The club frequently puts on additional entertainment around Regattas. Check the Social Pages for more information.

Cadets AGM

The Cadet AGM will be held at the Yacht Club on Sunday 21st March at 6:00pm. Sarah and Lucy the cadet captains are organising it and are really hopeful you will come along and have your say. Cadets look out for the Cadet newsletter that will find its way to you soon.

RS200 National Championship 2010

East Lothian Yacht Club are hosting the 2010 UK RS200 National Championship.

The UK Championship will start on Saturday 21st August and run until Thursday 26th August.

The Scottish Championships will be incorporated on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd August.

Entries will open with an early bird offer on March 6th 2010.

Winter Race Training 2009/10

2009/10 saw the first ever winter race training at ELYC, 10 keen cadets took to the water over 6 weekends braving some of the worst weather winter could throw at them!
