It's time for another project so the Flying Dutchman has to go.

Pretty much everyone knows that I rescued this 1970 Flying Dutchman no.K293 from being a sad looking hulk to it's current sailing status. It was never intended as a restoration or high class renovation job but it was rescued and recovered and it now sails reasonably well.

Boat was fully professionally rigged - Wires, all ropes brand new in early 2018/2019. Hull painted inside and out with 2 coats International white paint. Rigged for easy sailing. Trapeze wires new and professionally rigged. Will sell harness separately.

Now sits on new (2019) Trident heavy duty trolley with wide wheels (cost £400 new) and jockey wheel. Has extra towing hook so can be towed down to beach by tractor/ car or just pushed if you feel strong.

6.1m long. 7m high mast. Old sails good enough to make it go. Main, furling genoa and spinnaker.

Boat not been sailed really fast to avoid putting  too much tension on an old boat, but we had it out in 20+ knots with trapeze and it glided along nicely. Also really easy to sail gently. Lots of photos of work done.

Happy to see it go to a keen club sailor looking to have some fun, so I'm only looking to recover some costs.

£450 or best offer including launching trolley.

    Harness £80.00
