Social Sailing sessions are about having fun on the water in a safe, friendly, structured and controlled environment and are supported by a great team of volunteers. Depending on the conditions there may be the opportunity, for example, to sail round Craigleith or to The Leithies and perhaps see some dolphins! Everyone is welcome to take part, we have a variety of club boats to hire, but you must register first and have your RYA Level 2 (or equivalent). There will also be the opportunity to socialise with members before or after the sessions in either the cafe or bar. Please see below for the events we have planned so far.
To run these sessions we need volunteers so if you are planning to take part could you please register for at least one assistant cox duty, preferably two. If you have completed our ELYC Safety Boat Course or have equivalent experience, please register as cox. All the duties are on dutyman. If you don't have access yet, please email racing@elyc.org.uk and request access.
Once you have registered to take part in a session you will receive an email confirming your place and advising what time you need to be ready to sail.
If you don't feel confident enough to sail by yourself and would like to sail with a more experienced sailor, or if you have any questions or concerns please get in touch by emailing membership@elyc.org.uk.

We have new beer pumps in the bar! Stewarts have installed some very shiny "beer fountains", and they are pouring beautifully. At present we have Stewarts Gold, IPA and Lager all on tap to test them out. The bar will be open after racing this afternoon, so please do come along (other drinks are available!).
